Alex first moved to Richmond about a decade ago and studied anthropology and psychology at VCU. She is fascinated by people, different cultural approaches to medicine and health, and the mind and body relationship. After a few backpacking adventures throughout Central America and Eastern Europe, Alex settled back in Richmond to study horticulture and prepare for nursing school.

Around this time, a close friend started working at Vitality and introduced Alex to floating. She has been happy to join the healing and supportive staff at Vitality, and has enjoyed incorporating floating into her life. She finds it to be helpful not just for relaxation, but also for chronic pain management, meditation, and lucid dreaming.

When she’s not working at Vitality, you can find her studying or at one of her other jobs. She does floral designs for holidays and weddings, and cares for plants at a garden center.
